Rustic and Blue Restaurant
When you first walk into Rustic and Blue, you step inside a quaint, Anthropologie-esque cafe. There is appropriately rustic furniture, hanging plants and fixture-less light bulbs, a stand showcasing their homemade tea blends, and a pastry case filled with cookies, scones, croissants, and these incredible mint coconut brownies. It's charming and peaceful, and you're quickly greeted by their very friendly staff.
The Garden and Play Area
You can choose to eat inside or head out back to their garden, which is a perfect spot if you're there with your family. There is a sandbox, a small slide, and a number of toys to play with. There are a variety of tables and chairs, wraparound couch seating, and even a couple hammocks to relax in too. Our girls love playing there, and it's always better when you can eat a meal and have your children play and not be cooped up at a table. :)
Rustic and Blue's Food
Rustic and Blue is owned by a woman from San Francisco, who wanted to bring a Bay Area farm-to-table style to Chiang Mai. The food here is fresh and always fantastic.
Breakfast is served all day, and while I keep planning to have the peanut butter protein smoothie bowl, I haven't tried it yet. But we did get the "Awesome French Toast", and that name is perfect for this dish - French toast stuffed with peanut butter and Nutella, topped with tropical fruit and candied nuts. It's amazing!
More Favorites at Rustic and Blue
We've also had delicious falafel tacos, incredibly fresh broccoli soup, tasty grilled cheese on this great, really thick bread, and a chocolate passionfruit smoothie and wonderful lavender lemonade to drink. Every dish is presented beautifully and adds to the overall great experience of dining at Rustic and Blue.
We were introduced to Rustic and Blue by friends who said it was their favorite restaurant in Chiang Mai, and it's easy to see why. The ambiance, service, and food are all delightful, and it's even got a play area for children... it's perfect!
